(The Lantern) (U-WIRE) COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Love, sex, and drugs. This combination can bring ecstasy or prove deadly. With this in mind, it's good to know that there is help and information readily available.

Dr. Drew Pinsky M.D. and Adam Carolla, of "Loveline" the MTV television show and radio broadcast, now have a book available to answer the dirtiest and dumbest of questions. If you are a fan of "Loveline," this book is crucial, if not it could still prove helpful in sticky situations.

Creatively titled, "The Dr. Drew and Adam Book, a Survival Guide to Life and Love," the book is meant to educate without embarrassment.

Each chapter addresses a specific topic covering everything from the difference between genders to Internet sex. Dr. Drew and Carolla provide medical advice with a splash of humor to lighten up the darkest of questions.

Questions such as "How do I know when it's time to become sexually active?" are met with insightful and informational answers. Dr. Drew gives advice in a father figure tone by stressing abstinence until one is both emotionally and physically ready.

Carolla quips in as a representative of the "horny" guy crowd who fields all questions with forthright honesty. Concerning premature sex, Carolla warns the reader of consequences such as bad reputations, unwanted pregnancy, or the possibility of a STD.

Also featured in "The Dr. Drew and Adam Book," are a variety of celebrities who have been guests on "Loveline." The fact that they have similar problems makes the reader feel more comfortable in seeking answers to personal/sexual questions. Many sensitive and bizarre issues are tackled in this book, but good advice awaits the avid reader.

No topics are shied away from in this book. If you have any questions about sex, drugs, love, or life in general, it is probably mentioned in this book.

"The Dr. Drew and Adam Book," is not intended for an easily embarrassed reader. It is meant to be used as an informational tool and a way to get answers to questions one may not feel comfortable asking a person face to face.

Dr. Drew and Adam Carolla definitely have a money making concept. Their radio show spawned the creation of "Loveline," the television show and now they have a book deal. But, this book is helpful in getting answers. If your willing to spend $14.95 pick it up, it may prevent you from picking up something else.
