MELBOURNE, April 19 AAP - Key events in the murder of Victorian woman Marlene McDonald.

Her estranged husband John Vincent McDonald has been found guilty of her murder.



December 14, 1986 - Marlene McDonald, 36, is reported missing from her house in Wattle
Grove, Reservoir, after a night out with friends.



December 13, 2007 - Cold case into Ms McDonald's disappearance is re-opened and a $100,000
reward offered for information.



December 21, 2007 - Cold case investigators scour the house that Ms McDonald used to
live in. Initially thought to have been demolished, the house had been relocated to Elm
Street in Bendigo.



September 3, 2008 - Ms McDonald's estranged husband John Vincent McDonald is arrested
and charged with her murder.



June 9, 2009 - Three men are arrested and face kidnapping charges over Ms McDonald's
disappearance.



May 24, 2010 - John McDonald is granted bail and released from custody on a $60,000
surety while awaiting trial.



March 2, 2011 - McDonald goes on trial in Supreme Court of Victoria.



April 19, 2011 - McDonald found guilty of murdering Ms McDonald 25 years ago.
