NSW: Too easy for ice smugglers: police =2
But federal Justice Minister .. Senator CHRIS ELLISON has defended the federal government's
efforts to stop imports of ice .. saying there've been seven seizures totalling four
grams (4 grams) between July and November this year.
These followed 20 seizures totalling 55 kilograms of ice last financial year .. and
124 kilograms from 18 seizures during 2004-05.
He says more than 100 thousand shipping containers are targeted each year for X-ray.
